PlayKasino review

Two hundred spins, no matched bonus, and wagering only on what the spins pay out. PlayKasino's offer is the simplest in this month's ranking, which is either its main attraction or its main weakness.

The offer, in plain terms

Make a first deposit of at least £20 and you receive up to 200 free spins on Book of Dead, each valued at 10p. That is £20 of spins at face value, so the offer broadly doubles the number of spins your deposit buys, with one difference: whatever the free spins win comes with conditions attached.

Those conditions are light. Spin winnings must be wagered ten times, on slots only, within 30 days. There is no matched bonus, so there is no bonus balance to wager and no bonus amount to lose if you change your mind. And, as at Luna, the terms state that “bonuses do not prevent withdrawing deposit balance”.

The £20 minimum is double what the other four ask. If you would normally deposit £10, this is not the offer for you, and you should not stretch to meet it.

Max bet

While the spin winnings are being wagered, each stake is capped at 10% of those winnings (minimum 10p) or £5, whichever is lower. Win £15 from the spins and your limit is £1.50 a spin. It is easy to forget when you move on to a different slot, and a breach can cost you the winnings.

Who runs PlayKasino

Skill On Net Ltd (Malta, reg. no. C50024), the same licensee as Luna and Swift, under UK Gambling Commission account 39326. Sign-up includes verification by mobile number, according to the operator's page, so have your phone to hand when registering.

The games

We could not find a published game count for PlayKasino, and we are not going to estimate one. Titles we could see include Book of Dead, Big Bass Bonanza 1000, Floating Dragon and Legacy of Dead, plus Crazy Time on the live side. The terms carry an asterisk, “Games are subject to availability”, which is standard wording but worth knowing.

The lower games score in our method reflects that we simply know less about the size of this lobby than the others. The same goes for payments: check the cashier for methods and any limits.

What we liked

  • Wagering applies only to spin winnings, not to a bonus sum
  • Deposit balance explicitly stays withdrawable
  • A 30-day window rather than seven
  • Nothing to calculate beyond one figure

What gave us pause

  • £20 minimum deposit
  • Two hundred spins on one game is a lot of Book of Dead
  • No published size for the game library
  • “Spin Value: 0.10” and “min 0.10” leave the currency to be assumed

How to claim

  1. Use the link on this page to register (18+, UK only) and verify your mobile number.
  2. Choose a deposit limit.
  3. Make a first deposit of £20 or more.
  4. Play the Book of Dead spins before your deposited funds.
  5. Wager the spin winnings ten times on slots within 30 days.

The wagering, worked through

Suppose the 200 spins return £15. That figure is purely illustrative.

ItemAmount×10
Face value of spins (200 × 10p)£20.00not wagered
Spin winnings (assumed)£15.00£150.00
Total to wager in 30 days£150.00

£150 at the £1.50 maximum is 100 spins. Compare that with the £500-plus a full matched bonus elsewhere would ask of you, and you can see why a spins-only offer appeals to people who prefer short sessions.

Verdict

No matched money at all, which some will count against it. We count it in its favour: the only thing you wager is what the spins return.

PlayKasino's deal is honest and uncomplicated; the drawbacks are the £20 entry point and how little we could verify about the rest of the site. A good fit if you were going to deposit £20 anyway and like Book of Dead. Less so if you want variety from the bonus.
