About
About Spin Ledger
A small editorial site that compares UK casino offers by reading their terms. That is more or less the whole idea.
What we do
We look at online casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, read the welcome offer's significant terms line by line, and write up what they mean in pounds and days. We check each operator against the Commission's public register. Then we score and rank them, using a method we publish in full on how we rate.
We print every offer's significant terms in full, next to the offer, in the operator's own words. We don't paraphrase them, shorten them or tuck them behind a “read more” link. You should not have to click to find out what you are agreeing to.
Who writes it
The site is written and maintained by a small editorial team. Articles carry a team byline rather than individual names. When we get something wrong we correct it and change the date on the page; if you spot an error, the contact page tells you how to report it.
How the site is paid for
When a reader follows one of our links to a casino and opens an account, we may be paid a commission. That is how the site covers its costs, and it is why the ranking is labelled as advertising. It does not buy a place in the list or a kinder review. The advertising disclosure goes into the detail, including the ways the commercial side does shape what you see.
Things we won't do
- List a casino without an active UK Gambling Commission licence
- Publish anything aimed at helping people get round self-exclusion
- Invent figures we can't see: game counts, payout times, player numbers, awards
- Use testimonials, user star ratings or reviews we did not write
- Describe gambling as a way to make money, or suggest it can fix money problems
- Run pop-ups, countdown timers or “offer ends tonight” banners
- Write for, or market to, anyone under 18
What we are not
We are not a casino and never hold your money. We can't open accounts for you, resolve disputes with an operator or reverse a transaction. If you have a problem with a casino, their complaints process comes first and their named ADR provider second; our licence guide explains how that works.
