Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Spin Ledger (spinledger.co.uk) handles, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The short version: we collect very little, and we don't sell or share it for advertising.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the publisher of Spin Ledger. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect
When you visit
Like almost every website, our web server records basic technical information about each request: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, for example to spot abuse or fix errors. They are kept only as long as that purpose needs, then deleted. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a secure website.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising tags, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or session recording.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply and to fix whatever you have told us about. We keep correspondence for up to two years unless it is needed longer for a legal reason. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in answering you.
Fonts
Our headings use a typeface served by Google Fonts. To deliver it, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser details as part of that request. Google says it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. If you would prefer not to connect, blocking fonts.googleapis.com in your browser will not break the site; headings will fall back to a system font.
Links to casinos
When you click a link to a casino, you leave this site. The link passes through an affiliate tracking address so the operator can see you came from us. The affiliate network and the casino may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies, which we don't control. Read those before you register anywhere.
Who we share data with
Our hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf. Our email provider processes messages you send us. We don't sell personal data or share it with advertisers. We would disclose data if the law required it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability where that applies. Email us to exercise any of these; we will respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, for instance by adding analytics, we will update this page and the date above first, and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it. See also our cookie policy.
